Indian Open 2009
Hello to everyone
Thank you so much for all your support and good wishes over the past week.
I really enjoyed writing the blog and taking part in the tournament.
I've taken a little time out after the tournament to reflect and am sorry I haven't been in touch for a few days. I was very disappointed not to have progressed past the quarter finals, but I guess that's sport and some times you have to accept when things don't go as well as you had hoped.
I am about to start training again and will be updating you on my progress. Badminton is a tough sport as far as the international schedule goes. No sooner have I recovered from the Indian Open, I'm back on court preparing for the Asian Championships.
I look forward to blogging again, until then please keep playing badminton and living healthy.
Thank you to my support team and to Mittal Champions Trust for all your help. You guys are the best.
Saina Nehwal signing out.
Indian Open : Day 1

Hello all!
Today was the start of the Indian Open for me. I had a good start to the tournament beating Daphne Ng (Malaysia) 21-6 and 21-10 in the first round.
I was really happy with how I played and felt comfortable to play my strokes freely.
I am heading home to get some rest so I'm fresh again for tomorrows round of 16 matches.
Thank you to those who turned up to support the Indian team. Your support was really appreciated by all.
Till tomorrow. Take care
Saina
